Dear Emily,

Over the past few years, enterprise adoption of public clouds has gone mainstream as companies took advantage of the pay-as-you-go economics, scale, and agility of cloud computing. Enterprises need a hybrid cloud architecture that includes the same services, same functionality, and easy portability of applications between their public and on-premises cloud environments to enable a seamless transition between the two.

No solution was able to bridge the gap between cloud and on-premises environments. On-premises offerings from other cloud providers offer a very small subset of their public cloud services. Enterprise customers want the full experience of a public cloud on-premises, including access to all of Oracle's cloud services, to run their most important workloads.

To overcome these issues, Larry Ellison, Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of Oracle, has recently announced the availability of Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer and Autonomous Database on Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer.

We've put together key highlights below and also sharing of customer case studies. Please continue to reach out to me if you need any further support.

Sincerely,

Dedicated Region
Cloud@Customer

Only Oracle brings 100% of its public cloud services to customer datacenters.

  • Industry’s first fully-managed cloud region brings all of Oracle’s second-generation cloud services, including Autonomous Database and Oracle SaaS applications to customer datacenters.
  • Enterprises get the exact same modern cloud services, APIs, industry-leading SLAs, superior price-performance and highest level of security available in Oracle’s public cloud regions in their own datacenters.
  • Ideal for highly regulated or security-focused businesses needing to meet demanding latency and data residency requirements, reduce operational costs and modernize legacy applications.
  • Pricing starts at $500K per month, a small fraction of what customer would have to pay for a one-off region from other cloud providers.
  • Early adopters include Nomura Research Institute (NRI) and Oman Information Technology and Communications.

Autonomous Database on Exadata Database Cloud@Customer

Oracle’s most advanced database cloud - Autonomous Database - available in customer datacenters

  • Combines the pioneering capabilities of Autonomous Database with the fastest Oracle Database platform (Exadata) delivered as a cloud service in customer datacenters.
  • Eliminates database infrastructure management and CapEx while enabling pay-per-use and elastic consumption of database cloud resources.
  • Ideal for enterprises that can’t move mission-critical database workloads to the public cloud due to data sovereignty and regulatory requirements, security and performance concerns or because their on-premises applications and databases are tightly coupled.
  • Available as a standalone offering and as part of Oracle Dedicated Region Cloud@Customer.
